The Ontario Catholic Student Council Federation was founded in 1967 by a group of ambitious students. This council was instrumental in the struggle for recognition of provincial organizations during the eighties. It was reactivated in 1984, under the sponsorship of the Ontario Catholic Secondary School Principals Association. In 1990, the OCSCF was recognized by the Ministry of Education. Since then, the OCSCF has expanded to Ottawa, and presently, it is continuing to grow and spread throughout different regions of Ontario. Currently, the Ontario Catholic Student Council Federation is a student run, non-profit organization.

1. To offer inspiration and direction to student leaders of Ontario.
2. To create an opportunity for schools to network and exchange ideas, programs and projects.
3. To provide a united voice for the Catholic High School students of Ontario.
4. To continue to promote Catholicism in our schools and the uniqueness of Catholic Education.
5. To promote peace, justice and equality in our communities
6. To help students become responsible citizens and make positive contributions to our society.
7. To help students become dynamic leaders in our schools, families, churches, and all other aspects of our communities.

We are dedicated to developing the leadership skills of students and strengthening Catholic education now and in the future. We will guide students as they develop their talents and abilities, and we will aid students as they become positive influences on their communities. We will try to help students maintain a respectable self-image and high self-esteem. We will set attainable goals, and we will persevere until they are accomplished. We will appreciate and respect other people's differences. We will provide a means through which youth will be portrayed in a positive light. We stand for the basic human rights of all individuals. We will continue to work in the best interest of all students.
